Exercises in water and how they can help

If you are recovering from an injury, Hydrotherapy Exercises can be a great way to work on stretching and strengthening without putting too much strain on the injured area. For instance, if you’re dealing with tight quadricep muscles around the hip, the buoyancy of water makes it an ideal environment for gentle stretches and effective strengthening exercises, all with minimal discomfort.

The way that I administer this approach with the patient is to go to their pool of choice and teach them what specific exercises are required for their injury.  I will also provide a laminated sheet of the exercises carried out as a memory aid for the patient.
