What to expect on your first visit

Physiotherapy Initial Assessment

Your initial physiotherapy consultation is around 60 minutes.  Your medical history and injury/pain will be discussed and recorded and you will then undergo a physical examination

You may be required to undress sufficiently to enable your physiotherapist to properly assess the area so please feel free to wear suitable clothing ie sports clothing.  Following your physiotherapy assessment your therapist will discuss his findings and what he feels are the best treatment options with a formulated treatment plan. If you wish to proceed at this point the treatment plan will be agreed. You are, in no way, obligated to carry on with a follow up appointment.

If your physiotherapist feels physiotherapy is inappropriate or he feels further investigation is required you will be informed and referred onward accordingly.

Due to Covid-19 we can only have one person plus practitioner in clinic at anyone time but if you require a chaperone during your session they will have to go through our Triage process and this can be discussed prior to your appointment.

Physiotherapy Follow Up Treatment

Follow up treatments are 30 minutes but 60 minute sessions are available depending on your requirements. The number of treatments you require will depend on your condition which will be discussed during your initial assessment.

At Physioelite we believe in order to give a complete solution to your injury and to prevent it coming back we need to use a combination of both hands on therapies and exercise. We have a number of innovative treatments that we use to achieve this including tool assisted massage and mobilisation of both joints and soft tissues to enable your body to return to normal. We will exam your body thoroughly to give you a precise series of exercises that you can do after you leave the clinic in order to prevent the injury returning and also for you to maximise your wellbeing.
